Remapping internal numpad back to original keys

How can be this controlled in that simulator? Can HIDmacros be used with this application?

Remapping internal numpad back to original keys

Post by analitik » 02 Jan 2015, 21:04

I have an ergonomic keyboard that have a laptop-style numpad (when numlock is "on" - "m" is remapped to "NUM0", "j"->"NUM1", "k"->"NUM2" etc.). Recently I've bought an external numpad but when I turn num lock "on" on it - it's automatically turned "on" on keyboard, remapping "m,j,k,..." to "NUM0, NUM1,NUM2,..." and I couldn't find a way to separate num lock between keyboard and external num pad..
When num lock is "on" - HID Macros helped in remapping keys back, so that NUM keys from keyboard will be mapped back to original keys, but when I try to use combination - it still behaves as it was a num pad key (e.g. NUM0 from kbd1 is mapped back to "m", but Shift+NUM0 behaves as "Insert" and not as "M").
Am I missing something in documentation or this topic should be moved to "Feature requests" section?
Thanks a lot!

HidMacros never supported key combinations on input as it's against its main idea. It's here to remove need of key combinations.
I understand it would help you to solve the issue with external numpad and your original keyboard but it's not typical usage.
