keyboard sequence with "f" keys

Hi,
I'm trying to use keyboard sequence Ctrl+F12, but the "F12" key does nothing?? How to I send sequence "^+F12"?

"F12" key will not enter in the "send keyboard sequence" line (or any F key for that fact). What am I missing? Thanks, Larry

I was also trying "(F12)" based on the help file, but was not wearing my glasses. The brackets look the same when you can't see them very well Larry
