The title might be misleading.
I found that if FSX-SE is installed on its own and not alongside the original FSX, Hidmacros works just fine.

Did you rename the keyboard name?
Sometimes if you unplug the keyboard it loses all the associations but once you put back the original keyboard name the macros return to their correct associations.

Instead of editing the xml file directly why do you not use the GUI?

Inigohe, I just uploaded the latest copy of my hidmacros.xml and the keyboard template if you like them. You just need to re-download them. Hello Petr, would it be possible to add an option to automatically close HIDmacros after FSX has closed? Unless you can find a way to automatically reconnect to simconnect? I currently use this code to handle the autoclosure of hidmacros 5 seconds after FSX has exited. Not a very clean solution but ...
