keyboard in italic

How can be this controlled in that simulator? Can HIDmacros be used with this application?

keyboard in italic

Post by Larry » 21 Mar 2013, 18:46

Hi,
I have installed the beta 2.3, moved XML file over. All works good. The only problem so far is I unplugged a keypad, plugged it back in only to see it appear in "italics" and greyed out. I tried using the "move macros" to the new keypad ID assigned to it (from the original, greyed out keypad showing) option but the scripts are gone and the keypad is still greyed out?? What did I do wrong? Larry

UPDATE: I replaced the XML file with original and started over with all devices connected. Beta version working again, but afraid to disconnect any keyboards/keypads until I know proper procedure to transfer macros over with the "move macros" button. Looks like a simple feature but I am not sure how it works.

I was describing it little bit in this post.
Devices grayed out are those found in xml, but not actually connected to computer. The identification is done by device id assigned by windows and displayed in Devices tab. So if you plug your keyboard back and it gets different device id, you have to transfer macros.
BTW Hidmacros does not support hot plugging. Don't try to unplug & plug with hidmacros running.
Transferring should be easy, you select device in italic, hit transfer, select active device of the same type (e.g. keyboard->keyboard) and macros are transferred. If not, you found a bug and give me detailed description how to reproduce.
