hi~
I am only an end user who need macro keyboards.
HIDmacros did do well.
It's ALMOST perfect i can say!
but...
1. despite it's open source,
a. it's not signed.
b. no body take care about it anymore -- no more new feactures
c. no body take care about it anymore -- no more bug fix
But as I ran HM in air gapped PC, it's safe.
and it WORKS.
However,
I get around an close source commercial product called MKM multi keyboard macros from mediachance.
It of course got more features.
But from the same level,
the ONLY good thing are.
1. I do use KVM switch between 2 PC,
after switching back, HM ALWAYS mis identify the keyboard as a new one, and thus all the macros didn't work
but MKM recgonite even the brand of the keyboard, so after switching back, so far it always get it correct.
it cost not too much, you can check it out.
for that extra money to HM, it provides a macro recorder/editor that also support mouse position and click (but
only left physical button, which sucks for me as I swapped the mouse buttons).
I got no financial benefit for this AD,
but as HM's author gave up HM, and luamacro is script based,
for us end users can do nothing.
I am glad mediachance have that idea and make MKM.
personally I just purchased one.
again, no financial benefit for me.
just wanna help others.
btw, utube's linus tech's guy used far A LOT more money to do so, and need to stick with autohotkey.
my solution is for layamn.
and can still hook up with AHK.
[AD] MKM multi keybaord macros from mediachance
Re: [AD] MKM multi keybaord macros from mediachance
really appreciate author of HIDmacros for that work so far.
but if unfortunately HM cant go on,
we end users have to cope up with the changing environment.
