LuaMacros with P3Dv4

Hi all,

I've been using HIDMacros happily for years and was sad to see it doesn't work with Windows 10. But I'm happy to learn.

I need to use it to control P3Dv4 - I had been using Simconnect commands with HIDmacros, so does LUAMacros do the same or is there another interface?

While we're at it, I'm hoping to start using Xplane 11.5 soon, so a few pointers on simple stuff for that would be a great help.

Initially I just want to assign some switches to keys on an extra keyboard - simple I hope!

There's no P3D support in LuaMacros as I don't own that sim and don't plan to.
Let's see if I can do something for FS2020

Hi Petr - thanks for the quick reply.

Just to confirm - there's no way to get HIDMacros to work with Windows10?

I have an extensive cockpit setup which I had running nicely in Windows 7, but 'upgrading' to Windows 10 has stopped HIDMacros from working.

I totally get your stance on no more HIDMacros development - and have always been grateful for your (and other free developers) hard work - s please don't think this is any kind of 'moan'.

Just checking to see if I can get things working of if I have to find another route to allow my keyboards to talk to P3Dv4 in Windows 10.

There's no way to do any code changes/rebuilds of Hidmacros.
Whether it works on Windows 10 or not - I have no idea as I'm not using it anymore. Are you getting some error or it doesn't start or doesn't recognize keyboards?
Maybe someone else have experience?

I am using HIDmacro in Windows 10 64-bit and P3D4 and it works fine for me.
