Re: simple auto key presser with hidmacros

I would say the sleep mode is controlled by keyboard itself on hardware level, you cannot trick it in windows by software.

Re: Alt down does seem to still pass through

Your code seems to be ok (btw lmc_set_handler can be assigned only to one key, not to whole device, with additional parameter).
So I would say Alt is somehow special - what exactly doesn't work? The triggering part or the send_input part? You can add some debug output to see if triggers are ok.

Re: Having problems opening LuaMacros (intermittent)

Hmm, seems to be specific to your computer setup. The only thing you may try is to run luamacros with -k switch (see this post: http://hidmacros.eu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=241#p1475) - then your macro keys won't be blocked but at least you may see if root cause is really just enumeration of devic...

Re: No macros running, but keyboard behaves strange

Those gray devices were already configured in HidMacros (plugged to computer when hidmacros was running) but are not connected any more. They are displayed for the case you had some macros configured for them to have possibility to transfer those macros to some connected devices. You can remove them...

Re: No macros running, but keyboard behaves strange

Is it "dead" key or regular one? There are issues with dead keys as they send special windows message.
Please try with luamacros. Or in other words: do not expect any fix in hidmacros.
If I have clear reproducible case in luamacros there's a chance it can be fixed.

Re: HID Macros vs Lua Macros

Internally both applications use the same kind of blocking so you won't get another (better) behavior in hidmacros

Re: The physical key presses are blocked, on most of the games?

As written at many places in this forum: blocking "original" keys is kind of hack - works only if target application is using most common way in windows. Some games are reading keyboard "directly" and then there's no way how luamacros can block the key.

Re: Require for "Require" Support

This may not work like this as lua interpreter itself is plugged in to different program (luamacros.exe). Let me check if this can be somehow done...

Regaring your "dumb question", read viewtopic.php?f=10&t=241#p794
If you're able to do some scripting in lua, use luamacros.

Re: Numlock

Looks like window thing. I would say Windows don't distinguish which NumLock si on/off, using it as global switch for all keyboards and just giving priority to your main keyboard. How it behaves without luamacros - if you want to type numbers e.g. to Notepad and set different NumLock on/off combinat...
